Astia Film Simulation (Canon)
A look at the release video for this pack:
Installation Tutorial for Film Simulations on Canon cameras
Please note, this pack contains multiple files and is therefor compressed into one single file to make sure you get all the bits and pieces. On PC the free program WINRAR can be used to extract the files. Mac users can use the free Unarchiver.
Here's a brief overview of the different profiles. Please be aware that some of them can be a bit more hungry for light
than what you may be used to. So expose based on what you see in your EVF or Live view rather than based on your exposure tools before
you get a sense for how they shall be pushed up or down. This will give you the most pleasing results.
Astia Pop is the main profile, it lends vibrant colors and a creamy bokeh, especially on greenery.
A great all around profile with many use cases.
Astia Pop 1 - Saturated Yellows
Astia Pop 2 - Dialed back yellows
---------------------------------------
Astia Retro an all-round great profile which makes certain colors pop while keeping others more muted.
Greenery can get a nice rich and deep tone while brighter colors stands out a bit more. Over all more
saturated than Astia Pop in some scenarios.
Astia Retro 1 - Punchy Retro Look
Vibrant still muted greens
---------------------------------------
Astia Vintage comes in two versions the Loaded Yellows can provide a bright pop to the brink of clipping depending on the scene.
It's a great one and rather than changing it, I opted to provide a second version with a slightly muted yellows if you find the
original Astia Vintage is giving you problems.
Astia Vintage 1 - Loaded yellows
Astia Vintage 2 - Muted yellows
